Shalestar the Quiet

PERSONALITY,

Shalestar has a quite uneven personality, depending purely on his ever fluctuating mood, and sometimes the weather. In general though, Shalestar is quite reserved and even a bit cranky. He's only, in the last season, exited his rebellious-youngen phase, but remnants of his impulsive and rash personality sometimes seep out. Being given the title of leader in his youth has forced him to a mature at an age and rate that he did not want to, and sometimes he has difficulty hiding this.
When he does care for you, Shalestar is a deeply loyal friend. Ya just gotta work a bit harder to get through his hard exterior.

HISTORY,

Shale was a spoiled maine coon kitten born to breeders in the town down the road from WillowClan territory. After a neighborhood cat told him tales of the warriors of Blackthorn Lake, his ambitious and troublesome little self just had to meet them. He endured a long journey on his tiny paws to find the clans of legend, and was found on the brink of death by a WillowClan patrol.
The patrol probably regretted bringing him back after they realized how rotten of a kit Shale was. He often bullied other kittens and even apprentices. But, he was still a fair warrior, and despite the clan leader's distaste for him, he was still to be elected as Shalefrost.
His brash attitude was still apparent, but he grew weary of what his clan mates thought of him, and began to keep to himself. When previous leader Thicketstar and deputy Brackentuft fell to greencough, the medicine cat enacted the old code: the new leader shall be selected by the Order through the next moon pool visit..
To many cat's bewilderment, including his own, Shalefrost was chosen and became Shalestar after promptly travelling for his nine lives.
This explains why Shale is a mere 27 moons. He feels his new rank is a shot at redemption and to show his clan he is not just the spoiled brat they once knew.
