Both clans have their own traditions they do each moon. They are held on different nights so that either clan can attend the other's, similar to a gathering, but there is no formalities to attend to.
BoarClan's special tradition, being the grandeur warriors they are, have a night of brawling and fighting. It is custom to ask before initiation a spar, and to clarify with the opponent whether claws will be used. Medicine cats stand by on watch, ready to tend to any wounds or broken bones (which aren't uncommon.) Kits are allowed to attend if they are accompanied by their parent. Cats are generally only allowed to fight others within their age range or ranking.
WillowClan's special tradition, being the wise sooth-sayers that they are, have a night of story telling. The stories can be a cat's own experiences, or legends of StarClan. (Users can make up their own stories to tell, so long as it mostly corresponds with clan lore.) Each cat takes turns telling their story, and one knows whose turn it is by whether or not the cat has the story shell, an old but beautiful and shimmering lake shell that is passed to each story teller. Kits may attend if their parents do as well, and can even tell stories themselves.
These traditions will be scheduled in the events channel, and you can participate in either with any character.
