We also use lore/terms from this thread
warriors.fandom.com/wiki/Clan_terminology
AKA normal warrior phrases we all know and love.
The rest is Blackthorn specific.
- "Dawn"
Besides the obvious meaning, dawn is a metaphorical term in Blackthorn that refers to birth, the start of life.
"Blueflower brings a new Dawn tonight. I wonder what she will name them."
- "Dusk"
Besides the obvious meaning, dusk is a metaphorical term that refers to death.
"Your clan has honored you from your dawn until your dusk. This is the way."
- "Enlightened"
An order of cats who StarClan is believed to hand pick and speak through. They live in a cave in the far off, frigid mountains that overhang the lake. They are given offerings each season, and leaders receive their nine lives from them. Medicine cats retire to join the order.
"As a medicine cat, I know my duties ultimately rest among the enlightened. I will leave my mate and kits when my time comes."
- "Enlightenment"
The name of the trail/journey up to the order of the Enlightened.
"I was selected for the Enlightenment patrol."
- "Fight Well"
A BoarClan saying that is similar to saying good luck or goodbye. Some ceremonies are ended with this.
"May the Stars guide you. Fight well."
- "Great Bane"
The Great Bane refers to ten some seasons ago where flooding and disease wiped out half of the clan's numbers. Only extremely elderly cats remember this time, and the leaders, who as you may know receive the memories of the leaders before them. Most are aware of the Great Bane but believe it to be bad luck to even mention it.
"The Great Bane took my kits and my mate... we do not speak of it."
- "Half-whisker/s"
Nickname for WillowClan cats, as WillowClan cats take whiskers from one side of their face during ceremonies to bare a physical mark of their clan. It's a quite literal name; adult WillowClanners tend to only have half of their whiskers. Whiskers are taken from the left side of their face. Deputies lose two more, and leaders lose even more, barely having any whiskers left on their left side.
"Our border smells like those damn Half-whiskers."
- "Scathe"
One who has rejected the call of the Enlightened and slowly turns maddened by the power to see the Stars, but never harnessing or using it. Scathes may become this way if they have visions calling them to the order, but refuse them and stay with their clan. They become exiles and outcasts, crazed.
"We encountered an old scathe on our patrol. It's such a pity. I thought being selected for the order was the greatest honor of all!"
- "Split-ear/s"
BoarClanners bare a physical mark of their clan through holes in their ears. New warriors have a hole at the top of their ear, a deputy receiving a second, a leader receiving a third. The holes are made specifically on the right ear.
"No fooling me! I know you're a Split-ear, I can see the mark!"
- "The Thousand (stars)"
Refers to StarClan, AKA the Clan of a Thousand Stars.
"I will serve this clan until it is my time to join the Thousand."
- "This is the way."
A phrase that the Enlightened often use when giving explanation to certain questions. The clans have taken this phrase and use it at the end of their death (Dusk) ceremony in reference to their revered order.
"Your mate has died, it was willed upon by the Stars. We have no place to question them. This is the way."
- "With Grace"
A WillowClan phrased that is similar to saying good luck or goodbye. Some ceremonies end with this.
"I will see you on the other side. With Grace,"
