FAMILY — CLARA: meadowsun's mom. HOWL: meadowsun's dad. | PERSONALITY — scrappy, bubbly, and a go-getter, meadowsun sees something she wants and by god she's going to get it. it isn't a spoiled mindset; meadowsun grew up having to fight for what little she had, and enjoyed having to struggle for it. it's all she's known, after all. she may come off as inoffensive and unthreatening, but her fur hides muscle that she worked her ass off to gain. meadowsun packs a punch, despite looking and acting very cutesy. while she tries to act relatively serious with warriors, she can't hide the fact that she's childish, and so gets along pretty well with kits and certain apprentices. she can become indignant when underminded, and while she's very friendly, she can hold a grudge for a long time. she knows not everyone in the clan feels she's good enough to be around, and so she tries hard to keep up a strong persona, even if it's not the same as every other boarclan member's. meadowsun struggles with showing her insecurities and personal struggles, which comes with an element of isolation. she doens't want to be seen as weak, after all. this need drives her to be a little reckless at times, which doesn't go well with her natural impatience. meadowsun's life has been marked by several changes, and while this makes it easy for her to adapt, she's never felt wholely comfortable or accepted anywhere. she wants to make a place for herself in boarclan, wants to be accepted by everyone and treated as an equal, and she won't stop until she gets it. tl;dr, *giggles* *punches you*, some magical girl energy, corner of the sky from the pippin musical |
by chance, fiona and her mom ended up going to the same home not long after, and the constant moves contributed to a growing need for change and excitement in fiona. their new house was closer to the clan's territories, and saw some visiting loners and clan members. fiona delicate relationship with her mom and the dull life of a pampered cat made her yearn for a life like that of a warrior, restless young cat she is at heart.
after their new humans turned out to be flaky, clara and fiona ended up homeless and in the forest. clara chose to stay behind at the nearest house, but after getting a taste of the outside, fiona couldn't settle. after a heated argument with her mom, fiona left without her, and traveled on her own. she doens't know whether she regrets this or not.
she was ten moons when she found a group of boarclan cats, and with the perfect opportunity at her paws, she couldn't back down until she was at least given the chance to join them. as is typical of boarclan, her training as an ex-kittypet was long and hard, but she wanted to rise to the challenge. some of the tougher, meaner apprentices, bigger and stronger than her, would engage suppossed practice fights with her and purposefully unsheathe their claws throughout. to match up to the mistreatment, she tried to act very tough, mimicing the warriors around her, but it ultimately just made her look sillier-- meadowsun isn't a big, glowering, burly cat, and she had to accept that. instead, she's chosen to double down and use her soft looks as a way to take foes by surprise. while her very recent status as a warrior should make her feel fully accepted into the clan, meadowsun still feels like she's something of an outsider, struggling to be recognized by everyone around her as worthy. she remembers the rough treatment well, and being on the losing end of a battle often times makes her more prone to violence than she already is, to not be back in that victim-adjacent position.
