If you're interested in having your character be a part of the seasonal patrol, here's some more information on that!
The seasonal patrol is a group of cats selected by either leader, who will follow River Shallow to Raven Falls. The group must each bring an offering to the ravens, often an old two-leg artifact like a coin, or shells, or just prey in general! In return, a raven from the group will guide the clans and watch overhead until they can reach the Last Passing, at which time they depart and allow the group to meet with the Order of the Enlightened.
The raven is played by a staff member, so the entire session is essentially hosted by a staff. The raven may spot danger ahead or other circumstances that will change the direction of the journey.
The journey takes about a week. Upon arrival at the Order, the clans will rest up for a day or two before descending back down.
As part of the seasonal patrol, your clan will entrust you with hunting prey and bringing it to the order as a thanks for their service and to check in with them in general.
You will roleplay in the patrol channels, though some channels may be skipped if the patrol is taking too long IRL time; it shouldn't be too time consuming!
We will not roleplay the descent back down the mountain; only the journey up, and the recovery up at the Enlightened's Reach.
The main requirement to embark on the patrol is for you to be an active participant of the roleplay. This is necessary not only because we want this to be a 'reward' to our active members, but also because you will be asked to reply within a two day period to RP posts, rather than the usual limit of five days.
If you cannot meet the two day requirement, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND!
If interested, please DM Leda (ispaghett#8549) information on your character and their clan and we can discuss if they may attend. There is no serious application process. Kits, queens, and elders will not be allowed to attend.
The patrol roleplay session will begin on December 1st, and should only last about a week to ten days IRL. Make sure to check your schedule and be sure you can reply efficiently during that time!
