CLAN OF THE BOAR

BoarClan is a group of rugged and large cats with a strong appreciation for what they call the "art" of battle. They are firm believers that true warriors are born to the wilds, and are extremely stern with kittypet-blooded cats. A cat who accepts the help from a twoleg is promptly exiled, as the clan insists on fierce independence.
They are rough-housers, but tend to their own like they all come from one litter. BoarClan has consistent access to food thanks to their talent in fishing, and this is believed to be the reason for their larger, stronger builds.  Another believed contributing factor is their unique climbing ability, for they dwell among the deeply wooded areas of the lake.
BoarClanners have shortened life-spans as they tend to have less access to herbs, refusing to "borrow" from twoleg gardens.
BoarClan is nicknamed "the Splitears" as new ranks receive an ear puncture as a physical mark of their new title.
BoarClan begins battle training extremely young to help build muscle and character. They are not agile, however, like their sister clan, and rely primarily on their brute strength for their survival.
BoarClan may be larger but there is around 30% fewer of them due to their distaste for mixing in outsider blood. Outsiders are made into apprentices regardless of age and are treated severely until they have proved worth; with the exception of kits, whom BoarClan will always cater to regardless of upbringing.

BoarClan lives among the deeply wooded timberlands of the Northern lake territory.  Their territory has a river known as River Shallow where their fishing and training is held.  They live along a stream in the Northeast mountains of their territory.  Following River Shallow will begin one's journey to the Enlightened Peaks.
